THE BAPTISTRY
The Baptistry, in the northeast corner of the church, contains the Caen stone font which bears the emblems of the four Evangelists. It is located by the door to symbolize the fact that the sacrament of Holy Baptism represents our entry into the Church.
The open spaces in the screen which divides the Baptistry from the Chancel are filled with stained glass by contemporary Saint John Artisans. The upper section bears emblems of various Canadian Armed Forces of World War II and also civilian areas from which personnel were drawn. The center lower panel bears the Insignia of the Canadian Medical Corps, and the flanking panels bear the crests of various national groups who fought with the Allied Forces.
